Join us as Donna Shin presents practical steps, and necessary understandings, in how to help those in recovery after the impact of emotional abuse and trauma in pathological love relationships. The use and benefits of Brainspotting will be emphasized in the stages of recovery which will be highlighted. Recovering from narcissistic abuse in a family or in a relationship, the focus of this presentation, has become a specialty for Donna. Her own personal experience sadly informed her that many therapists don’t recognize or understand the complications, such as the trauma bond or the cognitive dissonance, that is very difficult to recover from. The distinction in the survivor’s history between having co-dependence or super-traits will be addressed. Donna has studied under, Sandra Brown, MA author of, Women who Love Psychopaths and the founder of The Institute for Relational Harm Reduction and Public Pathology Education.
