Understanding Brainspotting
A revolutionary neuroexperiential approach that works with the brain’s natural ability to heal trauma, emotional distress, and enhance creativity and sports performance

What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused mindfulness-based technique that works with the deep brain and body to help heal trauma and other emotional issues. It harnesses the brain’s natural ability to heal itself through the power of neuroplasticity. Brainspotting can also enhance performance across a variety of skillsets such as sports, creative arts, and professional leadership.
This innovative approach, which builds on the understanding of how our mind/body system stores and processes memories, emotions, and trauma, identifies and processes core neurophysiological sources of distress.
The Science Behind It
Brainspotting works by identifying specific eye positions that correlate with stored trauma in the subcortical brain. These eye positions, or “Brainspots,” help access and process traumatic memories that are typically beyond conscious awareness.
