Joyce Andresen

Joyce received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002. She has worked in Hospitals for over 20 years, worked as a Bereavement Counselor and a s Mental health Therapist. She is a Registered Play Therapist who works with children ages 4 years old and up. She also works with adults. She loves to learn and enjoys variety, so she treats a myriad of issues when clients come to her for treatment.

Joyce has completed Brainspotting (BSP) Phases 1 and 2. She has enjoyed using the concepts learned from these 2 trainings to further help her clients heal from trauma. She especially enjoys using BSP to help OCD clients and anyone who wishes to manage their anxiety better. She is also a Certified EMDR Consultant and uses EMDR along with BSP. She helps coach new clinicians who are beginning to learn EMDR.

Joyce plans to continue to take additional trainings in BSP. She wants to expand her knowledge base to treat eating disorders, BSP use with children, addictions and other areas.
