You will be able to describe the activation and regulation of survival programs in the brainstem, name the areas of the brain responsible for down-regulation of the amygdala, and explain the “fast track” visual stream in terms of survival orientation.
Deborah Antinori, MA, RDT, LPC, NBCCH, CT graduated in 1993 from New York University’s Drama Therapy Department. Deborah is a Registered Drama Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Thanatologist (death and dying specialist) and National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. She is a certified Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor Therapist (mind/body orientation and inner child work), and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing – Level II) as well as Brainspotting. She has worked at Fair Oaks Psychiatric Hospital (now Summit Hospital) and interned with Carrier Foundation’s renowned Creative Arts Therapy program in New Jersey.
