Following the Comet of the Child: Play Therapy Grounded in the Neuroexperiential Model with Colleen Klym, LMFT

Providing play therapy with the principles of the Neuroexperiential Model allows for the opportunity for deepened relationship and trust with client’s nervous system, and neurobiology. It allows for modeling as parents watch us let children guide us in understanding their needs and story as they relate to their world. As we follow our child client’s lead and meet our client in deep attunement, the frame will be uncovered, and Brainspotting opportunities will naturally and organically arrive. As therapists, we receive the frame and assist in shaping the frame while providing gentle holding. Colleen will share her experiences with this phenomenon, including cases and insights, while empowering clinicians to bring this trust into their practice.
