Harry Nozicka

The Nozicka Center has been serving clients on the North Shore outside of Chicago for more than 30 years. My training includes an extremely wide range of modalities and clinical experience in many areas. As the field of psychotherapy has evolved so has our practice to include more brain/body approaches such as EMDR, Brainspotting, and Hypnotherapy. Steeped in many years of studying Buddhist Psychology, we also include Eastern concepts in our techniques including Mindful Focusing Skills Training and Somatic oriented approaches.

Clients served include Trauma Therapy, Anxiety, OCD, Phobias (including fear of flying, heights, public speaking, social anxiety, driving anxiety, and other Specific Phobias.) Cognitive Behavior Therapy, along with EMDR/Hypnosis work extremely well with exposure therapy to overcome these difficulties. We also work with other issues related to health including changing eating habits, smoking cessation, goal setting, and in some cases, pain management.

I was also the first clinician certified in Brainspotting in Illinois. Coordinated the first Chicagoland Brainspotting Peer Support group for several years.
