We are all here to evolve into more conscious, responsible individuals. Mental health issues arise when we are out of alignment with what is happening within and around us. As we embrace and adjust to our life situations–working through our disappointments and broken expectations–our equilibrium is restored. We feel stronger and more capable to accept what is in front of us to do, with new joy and understanding. Blending psychology with spirituality, I offer tools for self-discovery, forgiveness, meditation, healthy transitions, healed relationships, and positive parenting. You will learn how to uncover hidden strengths and be on track with your life purpose.
I am a Certified Brainspotting Therapist and Consultant, trained in Phases 1, 2, 3, 4, and Master Class; plus several specialty trainings for various Brainspotting techniques.
Center for Dynamic Healing offers a mind-body-soul approach to the support you are looking for, whether that is healing, awareness, performance, or expansion. In-person, phone, and online video sessions are available.

I am a private practice clinician (LMHC) that offers psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals in the Cedar Rapids, IA and surrounding area communities. I specialize in working with individuals living with chronic pain and chronic illness. I believe to better advocate for and assist these individuals, the medical and psychological disciplines must work together more efficiently and purposefully. For that reason, I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Iowa to gain a greater understanding of the needs within psychotherapy or counseling for these individuals.
I also work with a variety of individuals with a multitude of mental health concerns. These include trauma, life stressors, mood disorders, anxiety, and depression. I take a holistic, mind-body approach to working with clients and use a humanistic foundation infused with Reality Therapy/Choice Theory, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and existentialism to build self-awareness and self-evaluation.
I believe that individuals have the answers within themselves to produce desired change and are the experts on their own life. My job is to help facilitate discovery of those answers and aid in navigation of life's stressors and obstacles. I believe self-awareness is the change agent necessary for personal growth. My counseling style reflects this belief. I have a narrative processing style and use more traditional talk therapy methods infused with Brainspotting and some behavioralist modalities. With a humanistic core, I pull pieces from other theories and work with individuals where they are at currently to navigate life's stressors or distress.
